MFarouk Posted June 27, 2021 Posted June 27, 2021 Hey everyone! I've been getting this error for a couple of days now all of a sudden and can't seem to know what caused it. I tried running a malware scan and it showed nothing wrong with my PC. Does anyone know how to fix it or had the same problem? PS: I didn't even know what AutoIt was until today and have never used it before. Thanks in advance!
Moderators Melba23 Posted June 27, 2021 Moderators Posted June 27, 2021 MFarouk, Welcome to the AutoIt forums - a pity that it is under such circumstances. As seems to be happening more and more often lately, you appear to have been infected by some form of malware written in AutoIt - which fortunately is badly coded, failing to run correctly and producing this error. . I suggest a full anti-virus/malware scan as soon as possible, plus a good inspection of those programs running automatically at startup as it is one of those that is probably the root of the problem. Thanks for the help but as I mentioned before, I ran a few scans with different softwares and no threats came up.
Moderators Melba23 Posted June 27, 2021 Moderators Posted June 27, 2021 MFarouk, But that just means that it was not recognised as such - not that the malware does not exist. Check for programs stating automatically on boot - at least one of those should look suspicious.
