PsaltyDS
will TCPSend( )-ing to yourself fail if there is no internet connection?I don't have the beta in front of me to check it out specificly with AutoIT, but in general you can send TCP packets to yourself if you don't even have a network connection. The localhost (127.0.0.1) address is always available, but you must have the port open to receive. Valuater's AutoIt 1-2-3, Class... Is now in Session! For those who want somebody to write the script for them: RentACoder"Any technology distinguishable from magic is insufficiently advanced." -- Geek's corollary to Clarke's law
Sokko
You should always be able to send to 127.0.0.1 regardless of network configuration. As I recall it, a listening socket established on this address will allow you to accept incoming connections from yourself, but nobody else (hence, the only reason to use it is if you don't have a public IP address to listen on).
