I don't have the beta in front of me to check it out specificly with AutoIT, but in general you can send TCP packets to yourself if you don't even have a network connection. The localhost (127.0.0.1) address is always available, but you must have the port open to receive.

You should always be able to send to 127.0.0.1 regardless of network configuration. As I recall it, a listening socket established on this address will allow you to accept incoming connections from yourself, but nobody else (hence, the only reason to use it is if you don't have a public IP address to listen on).
