Hi everyone,

I'm trying to build a GUI in AutoIt that has multiple tabs, and I'd like each tab to contain different sets of controls (e.g., buttons, input boxes, labels, etc.). I've looked into GUICtrlCreateTab and GUICtrlCreateTabItem, but I'm still a bit confused about how to structure the code so that the controls appear only on the correct tab.

  • Is there a simple example showing how to create a tabbed GUI with controls that are specific to each tab?

  • How do I manage showing/hiding controls when switching between tabs?

Thanks in advance for your help!

RunSampleControls()
Func RunSampleControls()
    Local $s_SampleControls_path = StringLeft(@AutoItExe, StringInStr(@AutoItExe, "\", 0, -1)) & "Examples\GUI"
    Local $s_SampleControls_script = StringLeft(@AutoItExe, StringInStr(@AutoItExe, "\", 0, -1)) & "Examples\GUI\SampleControls.au3"
    ShellExecute(@AutoItExe, '"' & $s_SampleControls_script & '"', $s_SampleControls_path)
    ConsoleWrite("The GUI example ( with tab stuff ) is at: """ & $s_SampleControls_script & """" & @CRLF)
EndFunc

not much but, it'll get you going :)

barbarasdecastro,

Welcome to the AutoIt forums.

Could I suggest reading the Tabs tutorial in the Wiki - that explains how to get controls to appear only on the tab you want.
