argumentum Posted June 6 Posted June 6 hmm, reboot and test again. Not to turn a blind eye to the issue but to troubleshoot it. Since all this is event driven, you'd have to "activate the child GUI or click on it with the mouse" to create an event. So, rebooting shows if the OS is resource starved ( to give it a name ) or not. In either case it could use some rethinking/pondering but the reboot is a good "retry" to look at what is causing the event/"white line" 🤯 bladem2003 1 Follow the link to my code contribution ( and other things too ). jpm Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Hi, why the split button disabled have a vertical bar highlighted? The 3.1.1 need #forceref $iD, $pData and Local $hDC, $hBresh defined before Switch argumentum and WildByDesign 2
WildByDesign Posted June 9 Author Posted June 9 9 hours ago, jpm said: why the split button disabled have a vertical bar highlighted? I had a look in the theme resources and this seems to be a Microsoft bug in their theme files. I think that the only way that I can fix that vertical bar highlight issue is by subclassing the splitbutton control. This will take some time but I will see how easy or difficult it is to fix. 9 hours ago, jpm said: The 3.1.1 need #forceref $iD, $pData and Local $hDC, $hBresh defined before Switch Thank you for letting me know. I will have this fixed in the next release. I have added the AutoIt3Wrapper_Au3Check_Parameters back into my testing script so that I do not miss these again.

I have looked into this issue and would like your opinion, please. The good news is that I can set a custom ImageList and draw our own arrow glyphs which fixes the problem with the arrow glyph. The bad news is that I have no idea how to target the vertical split to fix that part. So I have an idea. We can draw our own glyphs to have a nice, consistent arrow dropdown image. My idea for dealing with the vertical split issue (when disabled) is to simply hide the vertical split. This is the only method that I know so far that works. Screenshot: Please let me know if you think that hiding the vertical split (when disabled only) is an acceptable workaround or not.
WildByDesign Posted June 13 Author Posted June 13 GUIDarkTheme 3.2.1 Fixed some visual glitches with BS_SPLITBUTTON controls Most notably, disabled BS_SPLITBUTTON controls were incomplete within MS theme files Latest download available in the first post of the topic. @jpm This release should fix the issue that you mentioned with disabled BS_SPLITBUTTON control having visual glitches. The reason is because Microsoft did not complete the BS_SPLITBUTTON resources for disabled state. So I fixed that disabled state issue and made it better overall, including light mode too. argumentum 1

bladem2003 Posted July 5 Posted July 5 (edited) @WildByDesign "Fixed a potential struct-related lockup in the tab subclass procedure - thanks to argumentum" Can you explain that in more detail? I'm using tabs, and sometimes the entire GUI freezes. The tabs are no longer visible, and other controls on the GUI are also invisible, although some of them are still clickable (buttons). What's strange is that other windows are also affected, for example, the Explorer window is completely black, and the text only appears when you hover the mouse over it. Could this be related to the struct mentioned above? I haven't tested the new version yet because the bug only appears after a certain amount of time. Edited July 5 by bladem2003
