Connecting to SQL

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I played around with SQL functions and the UDF's like in topic http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.ph...topic=15317&hl= (Thanks HansH)

My question:

Instead of importing ODBC sources from registry (Current User / Local Machine), is there a way to use *.dns files as found or manually specified in Common files/Datasources ?

In fact I would like to deploy SQL functions on different PC without configuring local ODBC access. The advantage of the *dns file is that it keeps the connection info like Log/Pwd and could be accessed from local network....

Hope you understand what I mean, it's friday evening and I'm a little tired.... :o

Anyway, thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions
