9 posts in this topic

What is the best method to read/write XML files using AutoIt? I am looking to write my next options/.ini type file in XML format.

I have tried opening a .xml file only to get the error:

Error: MSXML not found. This object is required to use this program.

How should I proceed?

Aye I just installed the latest MSXML and heck I don't think the installer had to do anything (I only had the repair and remove options).

I did not include this link in my other post because it locked up my IE. Luckly it was a second instance and I was able to force the close without taking down all of my other IE windows. Today, I was able to go there with out any problems??? http://www.topxml.com/parsers/sniffer/default.asp

From that page - in part:

When you walk up to a computer, it is hard to tell which versions of the MSXML parsers are installed on the machine if they are in the 'Replace' or 'Side-by-Side' mode. This page was written to help with this judgment.

This page runs Javascript code and tries to instantiate version-specific DOM objects. If the instantiation succeeds, a checked check-box along with the DOM version is displayed. If the instantiation fails, an unchecked check-box is displayed along with the error message that was returned by the instantiation call.

...hope this helps in some small way - okay, I hope that it helps in a really big way - but I doubt that it will :-) Edited by herewasplato

herewasplato:

Apparently my computer can make every object except for:

Msxml2.DOMdocument.4.0 | Automation server can't create object

MDACVer.Version | Automation server can't create object

Are those critical for the UDF?

How should I proceed?

I would post to the end of this thread:

http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.ph...showtopic=19848

and hope that eltorro gets an email with each such post...

I've never used the UDF (or the samples) and the system that I'm on atm also reports:

Msxml2.DOMdocument.4.0 | Automation server can't create object

MDACVer.Version | Automation server can't create object

...when it does not lock up the IE session.

I'll send you a PM...........
