MattNis
How can I determine the user that has currently locked the use of a file? I am unable to open something because another user is currently using a file. thanks
I was busy waiting all night for the Columbus Day Bunny to come down my chimney and light fireworks in my pumpkin. There's so much wrong with that.Oh, I'm sorry, i forgot you were Jewish.
Helge
I know I've used a program that comes with Windows XP (Pro), where you can control your shared directiories...you can also see what user/computer who is browsing and using your files... But, I can't remember the name of the application..
emmanuel
I know that someone here [at work] once figured out how to do that with VBScript, but I don't know how he did it... something to think on. Batch
Right click on My Computer, go to manage. Right click on your computer name and put in the name of the server hosting the file. Go down to shares, and you can see what is currently in use.
