List Computernames On Non-domain Network?

Recommended Posts

randallc

Hi,

I have tried search and Helpfile;

Can anyone point out how to get a list of computernames on the (non-domain) network?

Or is there already "_ComputerExists()"?

"FileExists" does not seem to work?

Thanks, Randall

You can use the command "net view"

It is a DOS command in Windows XP.

OK,

Now I try to write a func, and this gives long name!

What is happening tonight?

$s_File=FileGetShortName(@ScriptDir&"\NetView.txt")

MsgBox(0,"",$s_File)

Randall

PS - my original question; surely there is a function in AutoIt, or an Obj command rather than DOS anyway?...
