Disable Task Manager, The Solution.

Recommended Posts

Reading that often people seems in need to disable the Task Manager and having the solution handy I'll post it here.

You should make/modify a registry key placed in

HKeyCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Policies\System

It is a Dword called "DisableTaskMgr" (no " of course), set it as 1 for disable the Task Manager, set it 0, or delete it, to enable it.

You can't disable the TM for every user, if you set this key in "Local machine" it will be ignored.

Hope it helps.

Btw, this will not disable other Task Managers, like pslist...
