Controls On Citrix Ica Client?

EDIT: It's not an ICA client, I don't know where I got that from. It's just a normal client.

Hi,

I've been experimenting with getting AutoIt to address controls within a Citrix application, but I've had no success, and I was wondering if anyone could help!

I ran the info tool, which correctly identified the colour underneath the cursor, but could find no controls whatsoever. Then I tried a script from the forum that presented me with a tree diagram of window layouts, which worked fine when I tried an explorer window, but was totally blank when I tried it on my Citrix application.

I was worried this'd happen, what with the nature of Citrix apps... but does anyone know if it is possible to identify controls in this way?

Cheers!

Just in case anyone finds this in the future, I've not found a solution, apart from scripting a tool that reads text by using the PixelGetColor function. It is very messy, but it just about works when the end application is a known quantity.

I believe Citrix is a remote control system, or a terminal server client, yes?

If so, then you wouldn't be able to detect any controls because applications of that nature don't create the controls on the client window. They simply paint an image of the remote application/desktop on top of the base client window. I think it would be similar to trying to talk to a person on the television without calling 0900-something (in UK, don't know about US/FR/ES/JP/etc.).
