Get Mouse Over Text ?

4 posts in this topic

Hello all,

Is it possible to get the character or word that mouse pointer is on it?

Just like there is a MsgBox say "Are you sure you want to save this file?"

If the mouse cursor is pointing to "sure", then Autoit return it.

Thank you

Go to Start->Programs->Auto It -> AutoIt Window Info

This tool will get u the information for the button you want and will get the text of the button. You can use the control ID to click the necessary button using ControlClick(). ControlClick is described in the helpfile.

Hope this helps...

Thank you for your reply. I know I can get some text using this. But it is not what I want.

Maybe you should explain what game/program you are using it in, is it a control, is it a graphic, does autoinfo tool pick it up, what you have tried and failed with... You know, information to help you get what it is you would like to do?

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
