Title And Other Applications

3 posts in this topic

How do you test for a window title?

i.e. if you want to know if FireFox(webbrowser) has the title "Mozzila Firefox"

so the code would be

if FUNCTIONX_TELLMETITLE("process firefox") == "Mozzila Firefox" Then

etc...

so what is the "FUNCTIONX_TELLMETITLE" function?

also how do you close all other running applications?

thanks in advance. :)

Open up your handy helpfile and look up "WinList()" and "WinKill()" .

WinGetTitle()

So, as an example if you wanted to see if a window had the title "Mozzila Firefox" then you would:

$title = WinGetTitle("Mozzila Firefox")
If $title = 0 Then
MsgBox(0,"Not Found", "Window with Mozzila Firefox not found!")
Else
MsgBox(0,"Found", "There is a window with the title Mozzila Firefox")
EndIf

Something else that is of note is the WinGetTitleMatchMode option. Look it up in the helpfile also.

EDIT: And welcome to the forums!
