Hardware Info Without Wmi

Hallo,

Is it possible with AutoIT to get some hardware info without WMI installed ?

I have to use this on a BART PE cd to check for the correct hardware and provide this way the correct hall.dll for unattended installation.

Help would be welcome ...

kernel32.dll should provide some information. Not sure this is what you wanted thought.

Function doesn't work anymore. Too many errors.

What i eactly need is a way to get the manufactor and model of the hardware without a call to WMI but in some way get it from the kernel.dll

I need the manufacturer of the PC like Dell, HP, etc

And Model. This is read from the BIOS.

If you look like programs as everest. They found it without WMI.

So why did you not provide that, rather specific, information in the first post?

I'm shure I have seen a project doing this over at www.codeproject.com.
