IE2 _IEcreate() opens IE and Firefox and loads URL into Firefox?

Recommended Posts

This started happening after installing and uninstalling IE7 beta 2.

Does anyone know why this happens and how to correct it?

I use the _IEcreate() as I normaly would, so the install and uninstall must have messed this up.

Thanks

hmm.. not sure about this. Was IE7 set as the default browser?

AutoIt Scripts:Aimbot: Proof of Concept - PixelSearching Aimbot with several search/autoshoot/lock-on techniques.Sliding Toolbar - Add a nice Sliding Toolbar to your next script. So this is a late April Fool's joke right? _IECreate does

$o_object = ObjCreate("InternetExplorer.Applicaion")
$o_object.navigate("about:blank")
$o_object.navigate("http://your.url.com")
How inthe world could it touch Firefox...?

Can you please post the exact script you are using to produce this behaviour and your version of IE.au3 please?

thanks,

Dale

I'm guessing that it has someything to do specifically with that page -- it is a very complex page with lots of Javascript and a bunch of window.open commands.

Have you tried this with another site? Have you tried navigating to that page interactively with IE without AutoIt or IE.au3?

Thanks,

Dale

p.s. In your attachment I see you are running the latest version I have posted (T2.0-3). I'd like to request taht you remove it from that post now... I'd prefer to have only a single controlled source for the script on the forums.

OK, good, I'm stickting to my story that that particular web page was opening another window in the default browser. Nothing else makes sense.

I don't expect problems with IE7, please report any you find.
