Service Pack

3 posts in this topic

Anyone know what @OSServicePack will return if there isn't one installed? I.E. Windows XP but without SP1? I have about a billion machines here, and I'm not sure which ones, if any don't have SP1 on them yet. I'm doing a rollout prepping for an SUS server.

Thanks for any help.

I used the following code:

Dim $msg

$msg =  "OS Type:  " & @OSTYPE & @CRLF & "OS Version:  " & @OSVersion & @CRLF & "Service Pack Version:  " & @OSServicePack
MsgBox(0, "OS Info", $msg)

I got:

OS Type:  WIN32_WINDOWS

OS Version:  WIN_98

Service Pack Version:  A

Try it on some of your machines and see what you get.
