"Pause Script > Reboot System > Resume Script" Is this possible?

6 posts in this topic

Hello,

i ask myself if it is possible to start a script which reboots the system and after the reboot continuous itself?

For example: A Installation is started. After the installation should be a reboot. After the reboot another installation should be started from the same script.

I think the script has to remember it's position before the system reboots and after that it should start at the remembered position.

Is there a possibility to make this wish come true?

as a workaround i'd have it put a file or registry entry before the reboot, then have it check that on starting to skip to the place you wanted and delete it again before the end.

When your script runs, have it set itself to run on startup in the registry, and any other variables/information you need. Then, your script can check the registry, tell its position and what actions it should execute. At the finish of your script it can then remove the registry entries it made at the begining of the cycle.

AutoIt Scripts:Aimbot: Proof of Concept - PixelSearching Aimbot with several search/autoshoot/lock-on techniques.Sliding Toolbar - Add a nice Sliding Toolbar to your next script. Welcome SpecialK,

yes it is possible. In this forum you can find a lot of threads to this topic.

For example your script can write something to registry and after reboot it read this key/information and goes on. Maybe your script can write informations into a file and after reboot etc.

I think there are a few more solutions for this. You have to plan which way you want to go. Don't forget to search in this forum for other solutions.
