Return value question

4 posts in this topic

A quick question regarding return values. If I call an autoit application from another, and the called application returns $var, does the calling application get $var or something else?

Thanks.

No, you'll have to look at the Std* UDF's in the beta help file for something like that.

Wait...

Are you asking if App 1 calls a function within itself, will App 1 get the return value? The answer is yes for that as well if you were doing it for App2 to App2, but App2 won't get the return value from App 1 and App 1 won't get it from App 2 without manipulating the Std* UDF's.

RunWait() will return the exit code of the application. See help file.

Cheers
