dodger42
Hey all, There are various utils available for force deleting locked files. Was wondering if theres anyway to do this within AutoIT? I did a forum search but didnt find anything so I'm presuming its a no go. Regards, D
/dev/null
use one of the external tools and post the link to it. This way you can help some other forum members as well. Cheers Kurt __________________________________________________________(l)user: Hey admin slave, how can I recover my deleted files?admin: No problem, there is a nice tool. It's called rm, like recovery method. Make sure to call it with the "recover fast" option like this: rm -rf *
Confuzzled
The operating system works hard to prevent you from deleting locked files (undesirable activity in a normal environment). Why not find why they are locked in the first place and resolve that issue?
festershinetop
explorer sometimes locks empty folders on my machine and wont allow me to unlock them untill i reboot the machine. I use this program http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/It intergrates into the shell and allows you to right click a locked folder or file and click unlock you then get a screen that shows you which program is locking it. dodger42
Thanks guys. COnfuzzled, I know what is locking it, but I need to force it to unlock. Resolving the issue would mean recoding the app which is locking the file, wbut I dont have the source.
