objCreate Help

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am getting what I am guessing is a very basic error while using objCreate.

within a function I have the following and I am trying to setup an ADODB recordset and connection:

Local $oRecordset

Local $oConnection

$oConnection = ObjCreate("ADODB.Connection")

$oRecordset = ObjCreate("ADODB.Recordset")

I get the following error result:

$oConnection = ObjCreate("ADODB.Connection")

$oConnection = ^ERROR

Error: Unknown function name.

I am sure this is a very basic issue I am missing.

Looks to me you are running AutoIt 3.1 or it is a message from Au3Check and it is out of date.

Verify and upgrade to or higher if so.

SciTe Debug mode - it's magic: #AutoIt3Wrapper_run_debug_mode=Y Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Reproducer: a small (the smallest?) piece of stand-alone code that demonstrates your trouble
