Running scripts in background, is it possible, how?

Would like to be able to run scripts in the background, start up IE in background, send keystrokes to that instance of IE and that instance only. Do not want keystrokes entered by user to be sent to programs started in script. Possible? :P Please Help!

Welcome to AutoIt AutoBob.

Please check out the UDF IE.au3 in the help file.

Then do some searches for IE and/or background , etc.

@topic poster: What exactly do you want? Do you want the tray icon to be hidden? That's easy:

Opt("TrayIconHide", 1)


iPod + Online calendars = iPodCALsync
