How to create a group in ADS and a special ou?

Recommended Posts

Hi. Exists there a way to create a group in ads and a special ou?

I dont know where I have to look. Using net group /add is no option because it creates just a group.

There is no way to move this group into a special ou.

In my opinion it would be better to do it without any external tools. Any hints where I shoul look?

Found some topics about adding user to groups. But had no real idea what I should do with this.

Any keywords for me? :P

Thanks

Micha

Hi. I searched your profile for active directory. You did some work on this topic :nuke:

Which one do you suggest for me? I searched some of your topics.

Could you give me the link?

Thanks

Ok. Solved the problem.

$oDomain = ObjGet("LDAP://ou=Printer,dc=your,dc=domain,dc=com")

if IsObj($oDomain) Then
    $oGroup = $oDomain.Create("group", "cn=" & "TESTGROUP")
    $oGroup.Put ("sAMAccountName", "TESTGROUP")
$oGroup.Description = "Test for printer groups"
    $oGroup.SetInfo
endif

A very good source for programming ads via script is here:
