I am considering an idea which would allow a specific user to load and run an exe on his workstation only, but not allow loading and executing on multiple wrkstaions/users.

My solution is to search for a specific ip address in the exe (i belieive I have his), and error out if not forund/returned.

This guy thinks Dos Prompt is a mexican fast food restaurant, so it doesn't need to be too sophisticated.

Generally speaking, is this a bad idea/method?

check out the macros in the helpfile. @computername might just do it.

the IP address is in @IPAddress1. Take a look at the macro list in the help file.
