Starf0x
Ok, here is the (simple or not) question... My son is addicted to his computer and after numerous shouting and yelling nothing helped. But he needs his computer for his school projects. Now i would like to block his keyboard and his mouse when his bedtime starts. Ofcourse i can shutdown his computer with send commands, but i don't want to risk loosing written documents. I know that ctrl-alt-del disables the blockinput, but is there a second way to program a keyboard shortcut to disable the blockinput? Something like pressing alt-ctrl-b? I would like to help him to save the documents so he can take them with him to school, i'm not that cruel :"> I've put in a timer that calls the blockinput whenever his bedtime starts, so the ctrl-alt-del won't work. That is why i'm asking my question. Kind Regards, Starf0x

GaryFrost
I would just suggest setting a password and when it's time lock the computer Run(@SystemDir & "\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation", "", @SW_HIDE) SciTE for AutoItDirections for Submitting Standard UDFs Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference. Starf0x
Setting a password and lock is to easy, he can change the password when logged on, and then i'm in trouble when i would like to unlock. And Winkey + L is the same, no need to use the run command. Just a way to disable the Blockinput with a keyboard shortcut except the ctr-alt-del. Starf0x
Ok, i've dug through the help file and the forum all night long, and i'll relate my issue with the hotkey problem. It is not possible to set a hotkey when the Blockinput is active. So i've answered my own question, thank you for your suggestions so far. Kind Regards, Starf0x.
