_ReplaceStringInFile corrupts hosts file

2 posts in this topic

Has anyone encountered problems when trying to use _ReplaceStringInFile to change a string in the hosts file?

Even though the string is changed, the pc can't seem to recognize the hosts file afterwards. Meaning if i use _ReplaceStringInFile to change a name in the hosts file, eg. Test1 to Test2, I can't ping Test2 after the change.

can you attach (not copy and paste!!) the hosts file before and after the string replacement?

Cheers
