well see, im making a password manager, in a context menu, that can save the password, and what you name the macro to be, but I want the empty slots to say "BLANK", so how can I tell if theres nothing written yet? ive tried:

If RegRead("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\macro\manager", "1") = "" Then

$1="BLANK"

Else

$1=RegRead("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\macro\manager", "1")

EndIf

Anyone have a way to work around this?

ALSO:

is it possible to make it borderless, and title(bar)less?

If you use Koda then the form styles are easier to get right. Here is an example of a boderless form.

$Form2 = GUICreate("Form1", 415, 326, 303, 219, BitOR($WS_DLGFRAME,$WS_POPUP))

What is the porblem you have with the RegRead? Is @error set to some value?

What you wrote should work as far as I can see, though maybe you could have read the registry just once.

Eg

$1 = RegRead(..

if @error <> 0 then

ConsoleWrite('Regread error = ' & @error & @crlf)

else

if $1 = "" then $1 = "BLANK"

endif

$var = RegRead("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion", "ProgramFilesDir")
MsgBox(4096, "Program files are in:", $var)

RegRead returns something, or it returns an error. Check these to see if your value is there or what it is
