Vindicator209
well see, im making a password manager, in a context menu, that can save the password, and what you name the macro to be, but I want the empty slots to say "BLANK", so how can I tell if theres nothing written yet? ive tried: If RegRead("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\macro\manager", "1") = "" Then $1="BLANK" Else $1=RegRead("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\macro\manager", "1") EndIf Anyone have a way to work around this? ALSO: is it possible to make it borderless, and title(bar)less? martin
If you use Koda then the form styles are easier to get right. Here is an example of a boderless form. $Form2 = GUICreate("Form1", 415, 326, 303, 219, BitOR($WS_DLGFRAME,$WS_POPUP)) What is the porblem you have with the RegRead? Is @error set to some value? What you wrote should work as far as I can see, though maybe you could have read the registry just once. Eg $1 = RegRead(.. if @error <> 0 then ConsoleWrite('Regread error = ' & @error & @crlf) else if $1 = "" then $1 = "BLANK" endif Edited October 9, 2006 by martin Serial port communications UDF Includes functions for binary transmission and reception.printing UDF Useful for graphs, forms, labels, reports etc.Add User Call Tips to SciTE for functions in UDFs not included with AutoIt and for your own scripts.Functions with parameters in OnEvent mode and for Hot Keys One function replaces GuiSetOnEvent, GuiCtrlSetOnEvent and HotKeySet.UDF IsConnected2 for notification of status of connected state of many urls or IPs, without slowing the script. sulfurious
$var = RegRead("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion", "ProgramFilesDir") MsgBox(4096, "Program files are in:", $var) RegRead returns something, or it returns an error. Check these to see if your value is there or what it is late, Sul Edit: better late than never Edited October 9, 2006 by sulfurious
