If you want to use v2 for this then maybe you could do something like described in the ADLIB section of the v2 helpfile:

Run,your.install.pgm
WinWaitActive,Setup pgm title
WinWaitClose,Setup pgm title

[ADLIB]
Notepad, Hardware Installation, , {LEFT} {ENTER}
