Variables and strings must be separated with ampersands :

FileCopy("C:\dir\" & $file, "c:\new\" & $file)

$file = FileReadLine("filewithname.txt",1)

Here, run this:

$path = RegRead ('HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AutoIt v3\AutoIt', "InstallDir")
$find = 'Variables'

Run($path & '\AutoIt3Help.exe ' & $find)
OK why doesnt this do anything?

$file = FileReadLine("M:\Backup\dir.txt", 6)

FileCopy("M:\Backup" & $file, "M:\Backup\Test" & $file)
