i've searched and "probed" all weekend.

i want to go directly to Error-Checking. figured this impossible so want to go directly to Local Disk (C:) Properties.

i can set computer to reboot and scan via wscript, and chkdsk > file.txt and display it, but I want to open Error-checking to change options.

I must be looking in the wrong places. can anyone direct me please?

Thx in advance.

You can run chkdsk.exe from the command line so it should be easy to automate using it's command line parameters. There's no need to automate the UI.

thanks.

i'm on a project where the funder requested this.

and i'm aware of the command line, as my post indicated, from programming in DOS years ago.

i'll look more into SysListView321 to read icons in My Computer.

Thanks again.

So the funder is more interested in doing something a certain way than doing something right? Please tell your funder on my behalf that they are an idiot and should be more worried about having things done right instead of done a certain way.
