Using $var with run("")

It's maybe a stupid question.. but ....

$var = EnvGet("PROGRAMFILES")

Run("$var\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe")

does not work.

Why?

The reason it doesn't work is that instade a "" (quote) it is treated as a string, not a variable as you are trying to do.

$var = EnvGet("PROGRAMFILES")
Run($var&"\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe")
