Open an url with the default browser

5 posts in this topic

;) I want to start a web page with the default browser (ie, gozilla, ...)

If I use this script it only works when my browser is already open (else I get an error)

$url = "http://www.google.be"

Run(@Comspec & " /c start " & $url)

What's wrong?

Try

#include <Process.au3>
$rc = _RunDos("start Http://www.google.be")

The problem must lie elsewhere as it is not with that bit of script.

the http protocol is probably not linked to your browser. What's the output of the command: ftype http

Cheers
