RunAS Box Tool

4 posts in this topic

Hello,

I have another little tool I use, it would become A LOT more useful if the Domain account bug gets sorted out. (see: Bug Report)

RunAS Box Tool

RunAS Box Tool is used to run applications and scripts with another users credentials in windows.

It will sit in the system tray and wait until it is called. It will then prompt the user for the credentials you wish to run as, and open a small window. That window will attempt to run any file dragged onto it with the supplied user's credentials. This is useful when trying to run applications that require Administrator rights from an account that does not have them or vice versa.

*NOTE: This is a pre-bugfix release. This will currently only work with local accounts and cached domain accounts. For more information see the bug report.

Check out its Project Page for more information and screenshots

Tell me what you think!

I would just call for a password once and let it rest while waiting for a call. This way, you could "safe" some typing.
