Read/Write Microsoft Access DB?

3 posts in this topic

Hi,

I'm about to make my own inventory script.

A brief explanation, would be that the script consist of

two parts. One that is client and one that is server.

The client part will collect all info from each computer

and send in to the server (database).

I know i can keep the database as a regular txt document,

but would like to know if i can write and read an access database instead?

If anyone could just point to me, were i can find it, ill think i manage the rest.

Thanks

Were ever i lay my script is my home...

I would first look at MSQRY32.EXE  (comes with MS-Office / Access)

Hmmm .. or maybe you could have a linked table to read a txt file, which you can use in an internal query to append to a local table?
