BALA
I'm creating a sort of dictionary program where the user can search for word and get its definition. What type of file (i.e. INI, TXT, ...) would be best for storing the definitions? Uten
Depends on how many records (words) you expect to handle. Ini files will get slow at about 1000 records. AutoIt does not have native access to binary files. But there are udf's. In VB4 you would have faster access to a btree binary file containing up-to 10k records before the application would benefit from using a access (jet) bd. If you expect less than 1000 records I would go for a ini solution. Otherwise I would explore the _sqlite* samples in the help file. Wish you the best of luck.. Please keep your sig. small! Use the help file. Search the forum. Then ask unresolved questions :) Script plugin demo, Simple Trace udf, TrayMenuEx udf, IOChatter demo, freebasic multithreaded dll sample, PostMessage, Aspell, Code profiling
