Cannot get pixel colour from a window which is always ontop

Hi, I have just starting using this language recently and I have come across some trouble...I am trying to get the colour of a pixel on an open window using getpixelcolor function. This works fine with standard windows but it dosn't seem to work on a window which is always on top.

If I use the autoit window info program it recognises window details, mouse details, controls under mouse but not pixel colour under mouse. Instead it returns the colour of the pixel underneath the program.

Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated

I tested AU3Info with ONTOP app and it shows correct colors from that ONTOP window (OS=WIN98SE)

So problem may be somewhere else...
