RichText Smilies

Howdy,

I have been looking for away of making smilies appear in a RichText box when :-) for example is typed in. I'm guessing you would have to look for :-) and if it finds then replace with an image. The problem is, I dont know how to find it then replace it.

What does this have to do with AutoItX?

Smilies is part of HTML and related languages like the Rich text format is another story although there is similarities like RTF files as HTML is actually ASCII files with special commands to indicate formatting information, such as fonts and margins - There are though some activex help around as RICH text components that actually can include smilies - in VB anyway, could work!
