Encrypting .reg files?

6 posts in this topic

Is there a way to encrypt .reg files so that an AutoIt program can still access them and put them in the registry?

Making one of my applications portable. It opens and inputs the reg key into the system, and when the app closes AutoIt uses another reg file to remove those keys. Like [-HKCU...]. I would need to encrypt the file that removes the keys so that it cannot be editted by the end user.

Why don't you just use AutoIt's built-in RegWrite and RegDelete commands??

If you have a bunch of keys to manipulate, take a look at http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7771 to automatically convert the REG file to an AutoIt script :)

Use Mozilla | Take a look at My Disorganized AutoIt stuff | Very very old: AutoBuilder 11 Jan 2005 prototype I need to update my sig!

I've got the system working the way I want it too, sans the encryption. I'm using reg files for simplicity.
