Drawing points and simple shapes over and imagee, how to do ?

I'm a AutoIT beginner, I'm now looking for ideas how to draw some point or little shapes over and image, something like this:

I'm a little confused how to achieve this because AutoIT miss native image manipulation functions. Surfing the forum I saw Prospeed

Sound interesting but I'm now looking for the easiest way to load and image, draw something overi it and save the resuling image.
