_ArraySort

3 posts in this topic

My brain is fogged again!!!!!!!!!

I'm working on a script the uses a recursive file search function to return a 1 dimmension array then I run it through _ArraySort() to get the sorted array. The problem is that I need to sort first by foldername and then by path and then by file name. I'm just not sure how to call the sort function to do that or what I have to do to the sort function to make it do what I want. The highest recursion level is 3 folders. So I need to sort

1) Base folder & Filename

2) Base folder & second folder & filename

3) Base folder & second folder & third folder & filename

Ideas appreciated

- Fill the Array like this:$Path & "############" & Filename

- sort the array

- when reading the array records, remove the "############" again with StringReplace()

Should work :)

TOO SIMPLE!!!! Thanks Jos.

I said my brain was foggy today.

Actually all I have to do is replace the last '\' with '\#' and then remove the '#' when I read the array. That should sort by folder name and then file name.
