[FileCreateShortcut] The Forwardslash (/) changes in a backslash (\)

3 posts in this topic

I have some weird question and maybe a stupid one too.

If i want to make a shortcut with FileCreateShortcut and some where in the syntax i want to use the / , the shortcut wich is created doesn't have the / but changes it in \.

What must i do so it will not change it into a backslash?

Can you please provide the code you are using with the FileCreateShortcut() function?

"So man has sown the wind and reaped the world. Perhaps in the next few hours there will no remembrance of the past and no hope for the future that might have been." & _"All the works of man will be consumed in the great fire after which he was created." & _"And if there is a future for man, insensitive as he is, proud and defiant in his pursuit of power, let him resolve to live it lovingly, for he knows well how to do so." & _"Then he may say once more, 'Truly the light is sweet, and what a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to see the sun.'" - The Day the Earth Caught Fire

Can you please provide the code you are using with the FileCreateShortcut() function?

For an example:

FileCreateShortcut(@WindowsDir & "\system32\mstsc.exe /v:Server /console -w:1024 -h:768",@DesktopDir & "\Shortcut Test.lnk",@WindowsDir,"", "Mareco Automatisering", @SystemDir & "\shell32.dll", "^!t", "15", @SW_MINIMIZE)

This is based on the example in the help file, but as you can see the /v:Server and the /console will change in \v:Server \console wich causes an error because you can't call the option with a \.

ps. Sorry for the late post, sick
