How How I Protect A Program With Autoit?

Recommended Posts

What about using processexists() or winexists with a hidden in your 2.exe to look for 1.exe if 1.exe isn't active then 2.exe just quits.

write registry key with date/time, 2.exe checks date/time set by 1.exe, if not within X of current date/time; quit.

Processes just take on the name of the application that started them, and window titles can be changed. Although these method would work, it allows someone who wishes to hack around your security more options.

General rule: the less you pass paramaters, reg keys, temp files, etc around, the less chance that gives a hacker time to play with them.
