Hibernation is a tad different than your PC being powered off. Edited by SmOke_N

Hibernation is the state your computer goes into (if set) when there has been inactivity for a specific period of time, yet it is still powered on... Right click on your desktop, go to properties, go to Screen Saver tab, go to Power, look at system standby for a better understanding I suppose.

If I have to explain "Powered Off" Oh boy... your pc is completely turned off (either manually or by an act of god :) )

Hibernation and system standby are two totally different things.

System standby: The computer remains on, but in a low power-state.

Hibernation: The computer loads physical memory to the hard-drive and powers off the computer entirely. Upon turning the computer on, rather than booting as usual, windows will load the old memory state from disk so that everything is exactly as it was before.

Sorry for the offtopic. :">
