Debugging A Script

2 posts in this topic

In the previous version, I was able to enlarge the AutoIT window, and see what command the script was wating for. In the new version I don't seem to be able to do that.

Can someone please offer some debugging ideas?

Thanks.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Right now, there are two ways I have seen of debugging a script.

The first is to set Opt("TrayIconDebug", 1) which will show the currnt line the script is processing when you mouseover the icon in the system tray.

The 2nd is a program I created called LineDebugLog. This will write a line to a debug file after each line that is executed. As of my version 1.9, it will even support a line echo (so you can see what line it just ran) and timestamps to track program time as it executes. Feel free to check it out by clicking on the link to my projects page if you think this might help you,
