Matg40 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Hi! Is it possible to access controls which are not recognized in AutoIt Window Info without coordinates (it could click at the wrong place)? Are there other tools to read the control properties (like getting links in IE)? MfG Matg40
Matg40 Posted March 21, 2007 Author Posted March 21, 2007 Hi! I tried several ways to implement a regression test, but not successfully.... I need to check a not by AutoIt Window Info accessable control: * Name or text is not accessible * Color-changes are not possible (sometimes only texts) * Popup windows: title is not changeable, text not readable * PixelChecksum: depends on graphic settings (and grapic hardware???) -->tried on 1280x1024x32 on PC and VM: different results... Are there other ways with better results? MfG Matg40
BrettF Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 My first question is what are you tryining to get the controls from? Vist my blog!UDFs: Opens The Default Mail Client | _LoginBox | Convert Reg to AU3 | BASS.au3 (BASS.dll) (Includes various BASS Libraries) | MultiLang.au3 (Multi-Language GUIs!)Example Scripts: Computer Info Telnet Server | "Secure" HTTP Server (Based on Manadar's Server)Software: AAMP- Advanced AutoIt Media Player | WorldCam | AYTU - Youtube Uploader Tutorials: Learning to Script with AutoIt V3Projects (Hardware + AutoIt): ArduinoUseful Links: AutoIt 1-2-3 | The AutoIt Downloads Section: | SciTE4AutoIt3 Full Version!
Matg40 Posted March 21, 2007 Author Posted March 21, 2007 Hi! I´m trying to write a regression test for a GUI. A button can contain text or icons. I wanted to check if the button is correctly shown before and after the click (i.e.). I thought it would be possible to calculate the pixelchecksum from the correct button (text or picture) and compare it with the current, but I had trouble on different machines (they´re calculating different values, but ever the same)... Easier would be to get a name or id or something (not coordinate dependend). Best regards Matg40
