Newbie needs help

Hi All,

I'm trying to access the menu controls accross the top of a window. (I.E. File, Edit, View, etc...) I've tried using the follwing code...

WinMenuSelectItem ( "Untitled * - Sony Vegas 5.0","", "&File", "&Open...")

This code works when I revise it for Notepad but not for Sony Vegas Video. I assume that Vegas Video is not using standard windows for their GUI. How would I go about accessing an option called "Te&xt Media..." under the "Edit" menu.

You could always send the commands using the Send command

for example

Send("!f")

that would open the file menu... i am a newbie too and that's the way i do... lol mind u you probably know a lot more than me
