joeyb1275 Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I was wondering if anyone has written any scripts that would lock a folder under windows, more specifically on a usb drive, and have a password to unlock it?
Paulie Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I was wondering if anyone has written any scripts that would lock a folder under windows, more specifically on a usb drive, and have a password to unlock it?Using autoit to do this is like trying to cook a 6-course meal for 12 people with an easy-bake oven. Its probably possible, but there are just other better methodsFor instance, try using Winzip or the like and just adding all your files to a password-protected archive maybe.
Bert Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 fix it so the permissions on the files block the user. Simple enough to do. Beware, you can fix it so no one can open them, and then you are screwed. The Vollatran project My blog: http://www.vollysinterestingshit.com/
