Running SciTE w/ stable and beta versions of AutoIt in seperate directories

Recommended Posts

I have more scripts then I have time to convert them, so I am attempting to run the stable release of AutoIt in one directory and the beta version in another for those times when newer functionality will make my life easier. I will then "convert" my stable scripts to work in the beta version.

My question is this: Can I safely to this if I run all of my scripts as compiled EXEs, compiled with the appropriate verion? (I understand the issues with having au3 file extensions associated with programs via windows, etc.) And can I have separate installations of SciTE in each directory and have them working against the proper version of AutoIt.

I apologize if this has already been discussed. I was unable to find an answer.

JdeB,

I am sorry, but that is not acceptable. Not only did you reply too quickly, but you have made this all too easy. Shame on you. :(
