retry a _IEGetObjByName

Recommended Posts

I have timing issues with my script and theres not much I can do about it other than adding 1-2 sec sleep times. My IEGetObjByName would work occasionally, sometimes failing to work other times.

Is there a way to automatically have a function retry itself, say up to 5 times (with 1 second sleep in between each retry) before ultimately failing?

I could write some helper IE functions, but wondering if there was something already like that implemented.

Just check @error and retry as appropriate.

Edit: more clarity

SciTe Debug mode - it's magic: #AutoIt3Wrapper_run_debug_mode=Y Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?
