mdcotter30
I need to write a script to automate the install of adobe reader 7. Should I use the Send command for taking away certain options or the Uncheck command?
GMK
I need to write a script to automate the install of adobe reader 7. Should I use the Send command for taking away certain options or the Uncheck command?IMO, the ControlCommand() function with the "UnCheck" option would be best. Selmak
I would offer an alternative: Download Foxit Reader and install on a test PC. Download and install any extensions you need, like form fill-in. Write script to copy Foxit folder to Program Files of target computer, and a shortcut to the All Users profile. If you're feeling adventurous, also change the association for .pdf to Foxit. This works because Foxit needs no actual setup program, copying its folder is quite OK. Plus, a far better piece of software. I've been rolling Foxit onto most new PCs instead of Adobe Reader lately, and not had any complaints yet. By contrast quite a few Adobe users have had updates 'pushed at' them which have broken things.
waylorn
Another good PDF viewer/editor is PDF-Xchange.
