Hi im new to auto-it and i would like to know if there was any way you could use auto it to rename a file? This question is a little general i know but it would be useful :ph34r:

You can use FileMove ( "oldfile.txt", "newfile.rtf")

What about adding a section in the Help file list called 'FileRename' that explain that FileMove actually renames?

(if origin and dest are in the same partition of course...)

Or just add the command FileRename() as an alias for Filemove .... Edited by JdeB
